ASCI-GSID Second Stage Workshop III Successfully Held at Nagoya University

On February 18, 2025, the Graduate School of International Development (GSID) at Nagoya University hosted the Asian Satellite Campuses Institute (ASCI) Program Second Stage Workshop III: "Advancing Collaborative Networks for Sustainable Knowledge and Development." This event was the third in the workshop series, following previous gatherings in Cambodia (February 2023) and the Philippines (February 2024).

The workshop featured five distinguished presenters and seven discussants, including GSID alumni from Cambodia, the Philippines, and Japan, who took part in five thematic sessions focused on international development challenges. Over 40 participants attended both in-person and online via Zoom, creating a diverse forum for knowledge exchange. GSID students, alumni, and faculty members also contributed to the discussions, enriching the academic dialogue.

The event strengthened existing collaborative networks while advancing critical conversations on contemporary development issues. It also established a foundation for future educational and research partnerships between GSID and academic institutions in Cambodia and the Philippines. As a result of this successful workshop series, the ASCI-GSID Second Stage Project plans to publish an edited volume in 2025, further contributing to scholarship in the field of international development.
