NUPACE - Exchange Student Program

The Nagoya University Program for Academic Exchange (NUPACE) is a short-term student exchange program that was launched in 1996. Under this program, students enrolled at universities that have academic exchange agreements with Nagoya University can study in Japan for 4 to 12 months.

NUPACE educational programs are unique and flexible combinations of Japanese language training, Japan studies courses, international understanding courses, and courses in specialist fields.Basically, all of the lectures are taught in English.Students are expected to take 15 credits per semester, but they can choose a combination of Japanese language training, Japan studies courses, international understanding courses, courses in specialist fields and individual research topics according to their interests and foreign exchange goals.Students can also elect to take Guided Research under the supervision of an advisor. Furthermore, students with sufficient Japanese proficiency can choose to take regular undergraduate and graduate school courses taught in Japanese.
