Professor Ryuzo Ueda, of the Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine, has been selected as a member of the Japan Academy. Japan's most prestigious academic organization, the Japan Academy gives membership to researchers 'with the most eminent records of academic and scientific achievement.'
Professor Ueda's research focuses on cancer treatment, specifically Adult T-Cell Leukemia and Lymphoma (ATL). He has previously been awarded the Japan Academy Prize for his research into antibody drug development for ATL.
