The 56th Seven Universities Athletic Meet, Hosted by Nagoya University, Begins

The 56th Seven Universities Athletic Meet (7-Univ.) will be held from this winter through the summer of next year (2017) in Nagoya City, the home of this year's host, Nagoya University.

7-Univ. is a championship tournament operated voluntarily by students belonging to the athletic clubs of Japan's seven former imperial universities (Hokkaido, Tohoku, Tokyo, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka and Kyushu). This year, 42 competitions will be held.

The Nagoya University Athletic Association and its affiliated clubs have fostered solidarity with a burning desire for an overall victory, which they failed to achieve the last time they hosted 7-Univ. Nagoya University also supports the association, with President Seiichi Matsuo, chairperson of 7-Univ as well as the Nagoya University Athletic Association, in the lead.

Please feel free to take a look at the 7-Univ website below for details, and any support or assistance from you will be greatly appreciated.
