On Saturday October 3, 2015, the Japan-Sweden University Presidents' Summit was held at the Swedish ambassador's residence in Japan for discussions on strategies to strengthen academic cooperation between the two countries.
University presidents and vice presidents from a total of 22 leading Japanese and Swedish universities, including Nagoya University President Seiichi Matsuo and Trustee Yoshihito Watanabe, participated in the Summit.
The Summit was hosted by Nagoya University and the Embassy of Sweden in Tokyo.
