NEOREX Pods open in Central Library

On May 23rd, 2024, the NEOREX Pods, learning pods on the 3rd floor of the central library, were officially opened as part of an agreement between Nagoya University and Neorex, a Nagoya-based IT company.

The five-year naming rights agreement, the sixth such agreement signed at Nagoya University and the second in the Central Library, is part of Nagoya University's naming rights initiative, which aims to raise money for research and education through sponsorship from the private sector. Neorex has previously donated IT-related reading resources to the library and research notebooks to Nagoya University researchers, and taken on Nagoya University graduates as employees.

"I hope that these facilities will serve as a space for valuable conversations and debates, and the creation of new ideas," said Kenji Komai, CEO of Neorex. He was joined by Nagoya University representatives for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the 23rd.

The NEOREX Pods are open to all members of the Nagoya University community. Please feel free to make use of them at any time!
