To all students who enrolled in AY2020:
The Nagoya University AY2020 Entrance Ceremony, originally scheduled for April of 2020, will be held in April 2021 with measures in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
In the year since you first enrolled at Nagoya University, you have grown both as students and as members of society in the face of a great many difficulties. Once again, we congratulate you on your admission to Nagoya University.
We will continue to make every effort to support your academic endeavors and other activities.
Please note that other steps may be taken, such as format changes or cancellation, depending on the state of spread of COVID-19 in the prefecture and nationwide. Any such changes will be announced on the University website, so please check back regularly.

April 5, 2021 (Monday) Undergraduate students may participate in person, while graduate students are asked to participate online. If Toyoda Auditorium Hall reaches capacity, other attendees will be guided to a separate room within Toyoda Auditorium (online viewing). (1) 13:30-13:45: School of Humanities, School of Law, School of Economics, School of Science, School of Medicine (2) 14:15-14:30: School of Education, School of Informatics, School of Engineering, School of Agricultural Sciences
*The AY2021 Entrance Ceremony will be held during 9:30-12:00 on the same day. |

Group (1) must enter Toyoda Auditorium by 13:20. Group (2) must enter Toyoda Auditorium by 14:05. People with a fever or other cold-like symptoms may not enter the Auditorium. (We will conduct temperature checks at the entrance.) Other attendees (e.g. relatives of students) will not be admitted. The ceremony will be livestreamed on the Nagoya University website, so please watch there. |
Please make sure to avoid the 3C's (especially in and around Toyoda Auditorium), wear a mask, wash your hands, maintain cough etiquette, and disinfect thoroughly.
There is a limit on how many people may enter the Auditorium. (Inside the Hall: about 536 people, Outside the Hall: about 200 people)
