On November 20th, a delegation from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil, led by Rector Sandra Regina Goulart Almeida and Vice President for International Affairs Aziz Tafi Saliba, paid a visit to Nagoya University and met with President Naoshi Sugiyama and Vice President for International Affairs Norimi Mizutani.
President Sugiyama and Rector Almeida first met at an event at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, which led to this courtesy visit. At this meeting, the two sides discussed the possibility of future collaboration in education and research, given the large number of Brazilian residents in Aichi Prefecture and the high level of interest in Japan in Minas Gerais.
