Guests from University of Strasbourg visit Nagoya University to discuss ongoing partnerships and student exchange

On Tuesday, April 25, we were pleased to welcome guests from the University of Strasbourg in France to Nagoya University.  

 

Dr. Michel Deneken, President of the University of Strasbourg, Professor Rémi Barillon, University of Strasbourg Vice-President for Research, Doctoral Training and Open Science, and Dr. Michèle Forté, Director of the University of Strasbourg France-Japan University House (FJUH) met with Nagoya University President Naoshi Sugiyama, Nagoya University Vice Presidents, and staff from the Global Engagement Center and Global Multi-Campus teams to discuss the common goals of our two universities, as well as research and student exchanges. They also received a tour of Nagoya University's major research facilities, including the Nagoya University Neuroscience Institute and the Institute for Transformative Bio-Molecules. The University of Strasbourg and Nagoya University have enjoyed a partnership for 20 years, and a celebration will be held in Strasbourg this October to mark the anniversary.
