Nagoya University Agri-Bio venture Gra&Green is partnering with the Graduate School of Bioagricultural Science to host a series of lectures on academic-industrial research cooperation in the field of bioagriculture. Called Future Crop Lab, the lectures will be held between October 2024 and May 2027. There will be two principal themes: Development of cutting edge selective breeding with genetic engineering and Rearing new seeds as practical crops.
The lectures will be held in the Tokai Open Innovation Complex (TOIC), a newly-opened Nagoya University facility for nurturing startup companies and promoting collaboration between industry and academia.
Gra&Green, founded in 2017, develops crops with the aim of reducing the resources required to grow them. This includes raising crop yields, improving storage stability and optimization for processing.
