Nagoya University will establish a doctoral program at the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences in April 2014.
The master's program at the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, which was established in April 2012, offers new and original cross-disciplinary pharmaceutical education and research, differing from conventional pharmaceutical graduate schools through the integration of several scientific fields in which Nagoya University possesses high-level fundamental research skills.
Meanwhile, the new doctoral program aims to deepen each of the specialisms connected to "organic chemistry," "bioscience," and "structural biology," to obtain a wide variety of knowledge related to advanced medicine and the pharmaceuticals industry, and to cultivate independent performance abilities for international-level basic medicinal research, with an ultimate goal of developing pharmaceutical researchers who can take a leading role in advanced studies.
