Nagoya University holds graduation ceremony for Fall 2025

Nagoya University held its Fall 2025 Graduation Ceremony on September 29, 2025, at Toyoda Auditorium. The ceremony celebrated 234 graduates, including 53 bachelor's degree recipients, 103 master's degree recipients, 77 doctoral degree recipients, and 1 professional degree recipient. Among the graduates, 173 were international students, representing approximately 74% of the graduating class.

 

The ceremony began with the entrance of President Naoshi Sugiyama, faculty members, and special guests, accompanied by a performance by the Nagoya University Symphony Orchestra. President Sugiyama delivered an address to the graduating class, offering words of encouragement and guidance as they embark on their future endeavors. The ceremony also featured a congratulatory speech from distinguished guest Ichiro Sasaki, Advisor at Brother Industries, Ltd.

Representatives from each school and graduate school received diplomas on behalf of their fellow graduates. The undergraduate valedictorian, Romina Castellanos Sandoval from the School of Humanities, and graduate valedictorian, Kaito Kimura from the Graduate School of Mathematics, delivered addresses expressing gratitude and reflecting on their academic journeys at Nagoya University. As the ceremony drew to a close, the Nagoya University Mixed Chorus performed farewell songs for the graduates.

 

 

Nagoya University extends its warmest congratulations to all graduates of Fall 2025 and wishes them continued success in their future academic and professional pursuits.
