First-Year Student of the NU-Affiliated Upper Secondary School, Sota Fujii, Becomes Youngest Player of Shogi (Japanese Chess) to Reach 100 Wins in Competition

Sota Fujii, first year student of the Nagoya University-Affiliated Upper Secondary School, secured victory at the 27th Ginga Tournament on December 12, 2018 to become the youngest shogi player to reach 100 wins at official tournaments, as well as the player to do so in the shortest period of time. His winning rate (100 wins and 18 losses) is also the highest in history.
