Two of Nagoya University's researchers have been named as our Top Female Leaders in Research for 2024.
Professor Ruri Hidema of the Graduate School of Engineering and Professor Keiko Ishii of the Graduate School of Engineering were presented with awards by President Naoshi Sugiyama in recognition of their exceptional achievements. The ceremony was followed by a reception attended by previous awardees, the President, Vice President for Diversity and Gender Equality Masako Nagata, and Mariko Yamazaki, Director of the Center for Gender Diversity.

The Nagoya University Award for Top Female Leaders in Research was established by the Gender Equality Subcommittee in 2017. It is given to female researchers who not only conduct excellent research, but are also expected to take on leadership roles in the university in the future.
