Nagoya University's Bangkok Office has celebrated its 10th anniversary. The Bangkok Office was founded as the fourth of Nagoya University's overseas office, following those in Shanghai, Tashkent and Freiburg.
The Bangkok Office's mission includes assisting Nagoya University students and staff visiting Thailand, recruiting students in Thailand and ASEAN countries, and playing a part in establishing Nagoya University as a vibrant hub for education, research and cultural exchange in Southeast Asia.
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, 21 representatives from Nagoya University spent three days in Bangkok. They visited the Embassy of Japan in Thailand, Chulalongkorn University, where the office is located, and Kasetsart University, another of Nagoya University's partners in Thailand. A reception was attended by Nagoya University representatives, our partner agencies, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Japan in Thailand, representatives from Japan University Networks in Thailand (JUNThai) and numerous Thai and Japanese alumni.
As Nagoya University continues to focus on its internationalization, the Bangkok Office remains a vital part of our network and we are looking forward to another decade of cooperation and success!
