Nagoya University Program Selected for MEXT's Doctoral Program for World-leading Innovative & Smart Education

One of Nagoya University programs ― the Convolution of Informatics and Biomedical Sciences on Glocal Alliances (Coordinator: Masahisa Katsuno, Vice-Dean and Professor of the Graduate School of Medicine) ― has been selected for the AY2019 Doctoral Program for World-leading Innovative & Smart Education (WISE Program), sponsored by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).

The WISE Program is designed to establish integrated five-year doctoral degree programs based on comprehensive world-class education and research abilities through cooperation with external entities, such as universities, research institutes and private companies in Japan and abroad, using each university's own strength as the core and also using the results of their efforts to reform graduate schools. In doing so, the program aims to nurture distinguished PhD graduates who can lead and be the driving forces in various sectors, as well as promoting initiatives that establish a platform that continuously develops and exchanges such talent, and generates new joint research.
