The Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) has announced the FY2018 new research fields and co-creation consortiums selected for the Program on Open Innovation Platform with Enterprises, Research Institute and Academia (OPERA), including a consortium led by Nagoya University.
Launched in FY2016, this program is designed to enhance industry-academia funding partnerships, thereby promoting (1) large-scale collaborative research and the development of doctoral students in a pre-competitive stage through participating in a consortium with several companies, and (2) the reform of industry-university collaboration systems in an integrated manner.
