Nagoya University Shortlisted for Times Higher Education (THE) Awards Asia 2025

Nagoya University has been named a finalist for the Times Higher Education (THE) Awards Asia 2025 in the International Strategy of the Year category.

 

Nagoya University has earned international recognition for its global initiatives, securing a spot on the shortlist for the Times Higher Education Awards Asia 2025. The university was selected as a finalist in the International Strategy of the Year category, with winners set to be announced at the THE Asia Universities Summit on April 22, 2025 in Macao. The International Strategy of the Year award honors higher education institutions "for outstanding success in building institutional partnerships, overseas operations and a strategic approach to international staff and student recruitment."

 

 

Nagoya University Asian Satellite Campuses Institute (ASCI) is under consideration for the award. This innovative program offers English-language doctoral courses to government officials and executives across Asia who aspire to leadership positions. ASCI's flexible learning model combines online instruction, on-site teaching from visiting Nagoya University faculty members, and intensive residential periods at the main campus in Japan. This approach allows participants to earn their doctoral degrees without extended absences from their professional roles. Being shorlisted for this award highlights Nagoya University's commitment to expanding educational access through creative approaches to international higher education.
