Ms. Yuri Ohkubo, a second-year doctoral student at Nagoya University's Graduate School of Science, has been selected as a recipient of the 16th L'Oréal-UNESCO Japan National Fellowship for Women in Science.
This award was established in 2005 by Nihon L'Oréal in cooperation with the Japanese National Commission for UNESCO to encourage young female scientists to continue their research activities at educational or research institutions within the country.
Ms. Ohkubo's award-winning research concerns "Identification of signal molecules regulating nitrogen acquisition in plants."
