Professor Seiji Ogawa, Visiting Professor at the Nagoya University Brain and Mind Research Center, Receives the Imperial Prize and Japan Academy Prize

Seiji Ogawa, Visiting Professor at the Nagoya University Brain and Mind Research Center, has received the prestigious Imperial Prize and Japan Academy Prize. This award is presented by the Japan Academy to recognize exceptionally outstanding academic papers, books, and other research achievements. Professor Ogawa was also honored with the Imperial Prize.

The research recognized by these awards is titled “Discovery of the Basic Principles of Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Its Development in Brain Science.” This groundbreaking work has made significant contributions to advancing our understanding of brain function networks and has substantially accelerated progress in the field of brain science.
