On August 26, the Tokai Higher Education and Research System (THERS) held an award ceremony at Nagoya University for the Chancellor’s Special Award for Educational Good Practice. The award serves as an impetus for faculty at Nagoya University and Gifu University to further enhance their teaching work, in effect raising the quality of teaching at both universities. From this academic year, the evaluation criteria for the award were updated in order to recognize a wider range of educational activities. In addition to regular classes, collaborative teaching classes and educational activities of THERS were also eligible. Accordingly, a total of three classes at Gifu University, five classes at Nagoya University, and one THERS research hub collaboration support project received awards for their exemplary impact.
