Associate Professor Nobuyuki Kawai and Professor Tetsuya Higashiyama Win JSPS Prizes

Graduate School of Information Science Associate Professor Nobuyuki Kawai and Graduate School of Science Professor Tetsuya Higashiyama were selected for the 6th (FY2009) JSPS Prize.

JSPS Prizes aim to provide opportunities for future research and to promote breakthroughs by recognizing young researchers poised to become leaders in academic research, with Nobel Prize-winning potential.

Associate Professor Kawai’s winning research was entitled ‘Comparative Psychology on the Origin of Cognition and Learning’, while Professor Higashiyama was recognized for his research entitled ‘Behavior and Molecular Mechanism of Plant Reproduction Commencing with Pollen Tube Guidance’.
