Nagoya University ESS Team Wins Second Place in the EFL Category of Northeast Asian Impromptu English Debate Competition

A Nagoya University English-Speaking Society (ESS) Team, consisting of Kouji Imai and Yuki Kimpara (both of whom are second-year master’s students in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Graduate School of Engineering), advanced to the final round and won the second place in the English as a Foreign Language Speaker (EFL) category at the SolBridge Northeast Asian Open (northeast Asian English debate competition) 2017, held at the SolBridge International School of Business in Daejeon, South Korea, from November 17 to 20, 2017.

This was the first time for the Nagoya University ESS to win a prize at an international English debate competition.
