Center for Digital Humanities and Social Sciences opens

The Nagoya University Center for Digital Humanities and Social Sciences opened on April 1st, 2024, with Nagoya University Vice President Professor Junichi Sakuma as its director.

In the modern academic world, research is expected to cross the boundaries between science and humanities. The Center for Digital Humanities and Social Science will combine informatics-based data-driven research with the knowledge of experts in the humanities to produce a new kind of comprehensive social science, contributing to finding solutions to issues that cannot be solved by technology alone.
