Professor Azusa Kamikouchi, Graduate School of Science, awarded Saruhashi Prize

Azusa Kamikouchi, Professor at the Nagoya University Graduate School of Science and the Institute of Transformative Bio-Molecules (ITbM), has been awarded the 45th annual Saruhashi Prize.

The Saruhashi Prize is one of Japan’s leading awards, with a 45-year history since its establishment in 1980. It is presented annually in May by the Association for the Bright Future of Women Scientists to a female scientist under the age of 50 who has made distinguished contributions in the field of natural science.

Professor Kamikouchi was recognized for her research titled "Auditory processing mechanisms in the insect brain."
