Four Nagoya University Researchers Selected to Receive Awards from Inoue Foundation for Science

Four Nagoya University researchers have won the 35th Inoue Prize for Science (FY2018) and Inoue Research Award for Young Scientists, according to an announcement by the Inoue Foundation for Science.

Inoue Prize for Science

  • Graduate School of Mathematics Professor: Osamu Iyama

  • Graduate School of Science Professor: Yoshikatsu Matsubayashi

Inoue Research Award for Young Scientists

  • Graduate School of Engineering Assistant Professor: Norihito Fukui

  • Graduate School of Science (Completed) (currently Post-Doctoral Researcher at ETH Zurich): Daichi Kashino

The Inoue Prize for Science is given to researchers under the age of 50 who have achieved remarkable results in the fundamental study of the natural sciences. Meanwhile, the Inoue Research Award for Young Scientists is given to young researchers under the age of 37 who have completed a doctoral degree in the natural sciences within the past three years and submitted a prominent doctoral thesis.
