Nagoya University has joined a consortium of five Japanese and six U.S. universities in a partnership with U.S. semiconductor company Micron, Inc. called the U.S.-Japan University Partnership for Workforce Advancement and Research & Development (UPWARDS) for the Future. The partnership aims to promote the development of semiconductor research in the U.S. and Japan while attracting students to study the subject.
