Professor Kazuhisa Tsuboki receives the 2025 Prime Minister’s Distinguished Service Award in Disaster Management

Professor Kazuhisa Tsuboki (Institute for Space-Earth Environmental Research) was selected to receive the 2025 Prime Minister’s Distinguished Service Award in Disaster Management in recognition of his significant contributions to the improvement of disaster management systems, according to an announcement by the Japanese Cabinet Office on September 12, 2025.

This award is presented to groups and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to disaster response activities, such as the saving of lives and prevention of spread of damage in times of disaster, as well as the dissemination of ideas for disaster management and the improvement of disaster management systems.
