Professor Ryuzo Ueda receives Japan Academy Prize

Professor Ryuzo Ueda of the Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine has been awarded the Japan Academy Prize for "Translational Research on Antibody Drug Development for Adult T-Cell Leukaemia and Lymphoma (ATL)". The Japan Academy Prize is one of the most prestigious academic awards in Japan, and is awarded to Japanese researchers who have made exceptional contributions in their field. The four year survival rate for ATL is just 5-10%, so Professor Ueda’s research is vital in the search for a comprehensive treatment for this devastating disease.
