Three Nagoya University figures receive Orders of the Sacred Treasure

Three Nagoya University figures have received Orders of the Sacred Treasure in the fall honors. The Order of the Sacred Treasure, which includes six classes, is awarded by the Emperor to people who have made exceptional contributions to public service.

Nobuhiko Sawagi and Yoshiaki Takai, both Emeritus Professors of the Graduate School of Engineering, received 3rd Class awards, Orders of the Sacred Treasure with Gold Rays and Neck Ribbon. Ryuichi Hotta, former vice-director of the general affairs department of the School of Medicine, received the 5th Class award, Order of the Sacred Treasure with Gold and Silver Rays.
