Regarding Fire at Nagoya University International Ohmeikan on May 4, 2017

To everyone living in the neighborhood of Nagoya University International Ohmeikan:

On behalf of Nagoya University, I deeply apologize for the concern felt by all residents living in, and nearby, the International Ohmeikan following the fire on Thursday, May 4, 2017.

To all Nagoya University students, their family, and guardians:

On May 4, the same day as the fire, Nagoya University established an "International Ohmeikan Fire Accident Team". Its purpose is to provide mental and physical support to all of our students affected by this tragedy, especially those living in the International Ohmeikan. We are also making maximum effort to repair the physical environment as quickly as possible so students may resume their studies.
