The Global Media Research Center of the Nagoya University Graduate School of Languages and Cultures held its inauguration symposium, titled "Global Society and Japan: 70 Years after World War II and beyond," in Nagoya University on February 12 (Fri), 2016. At the symposium, both domestic and international experts discussed how Japan — which marked 70 years after the end of the Second World War — should contribute to stabilizing the order of the global society and what messages it should send to the world.
