The Tokai National Higher Education and Research System (THERS) has signed a partnership with technology company Fujitsu to promote collaborative research in healthcare and space technology. The partnership aims to leverage THERS’ and Fujitsu’s capabilities to create a "wellbeing society" and contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Japanese government’s "Society 5.0" initiative, which aims to create a future based on "a human-centered society that balances economic progress with solving social problems through a system that highly integrates cyberspace and physical space."
