The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology accepted Nagoya University’s application for FY2007 funding for the promotion of science and technology for the Model for Supporting the Training of Female Researchers.
Development of a model for supporting the training of female researchers
The support model is designed help female researchers develop their potential and show their abilities to fullest extent possible. Targeted at universities and public research institutions, the model was developed to help provide female researchers with a supportive work environment and to promote a reform in attitudes of administrators and colleagues. Within this framework, one objective is to provide the type of organizational support that will enable female researchers to have children and raise them while they pursue their careers and research activity in a way that allows them to fully utilize and express their capabilities.
