Request from the President in Response to the Spread of the Novel Coronavirus Infectious Disease (COVID-19)

January 11, 2022

Since the year-end and new year’s holidays, the Omicron variant of COVID-19 has spread rapidly, and the sixth wave has started. Nagoya University has also recorded a number of positive cases. In response to this, the University has decided to raise some of its activity guideline levels from January 11. In order to continue with various activities at the University, the President requests that all students, faculty and staff members comply with the activity guidelines and various notifications, refrain from eating and drinking in groups (of more than five people), and take other measures to prevent the spread of infection in their daily lives.
