The Nagoya University Graduate School of International Development (GSID) will accept applications for the Transnational Doctoral Programs for Leading Professionals in Asian Countries from February 2 to March 20, 2026, with enrollment beginning October 2026.
Program Overview
This specialized three-year Ph.D. program in International Development is designed for senior officials and leading professionals who wish to advance their academic credentials while continuing their careers. This special admission is open to applicants from Cambodia and the Philippines

Who Can Apply
The program seeks senior government officials, university faculty members, senior staff of international organizations, and individuals in equivalent leadership positions. Applicants must hold a master’s degree in international development or related fields and have at least three years of relevant work experience.
Program Benefits
Selected students receive comprehensive support including full tuition waiver (application, admission, and tuition fees), scholarship support during intensive study periods in Japan, round-trip airfare, and accommodation. The program features English-language instruction and combines remote ICT-based guidance with on-campus intensive sessions.
