Prof. Masahito Hayashi Selected to Receive AY2015 Japan Academy Medal

Masahito Hayashi, Professor of the Graduate School of Mathematics, Nagoya University, has been selected by the Japan Academy to receive the 12th (AY2015) Japan Academy Medal. This Medal is awarded to young researchers who have accomplished outstanding achievements in research and are highly expected to play important roles in their fields, with the aim of encouraging their future research.

The subject of his medal-winning research was "Information Theory and Quantum Information Theory for Finite-Coding-Length."
