Prof. Itami at the Institute of Transformative Bio-Molecules to Receive the Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award

Professor Kenichiro Itami, Director of the Institute of Transformative Bio-Molecules, Nagoya University, has been selected to receive the 2015 Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award from the American Chemical Society (ACS). This award is granted to researchers who have made a remarkable achievement in organic chemistry.

Prof. Itami will receive this award in recognition of his development of powerful and unique catalysts with significant impacts on the fields of materials science, pharmaceutical science, and advanced biology. He will be the youngest Japanese researcher to win this award.

The award ceremony and symposium will be held at the ACS conference in 2015.
