Associate Prof. Yutaka Sato to Receive 11th JSPS Prize

Yutaka Sato, Associate Professor of the Graduate School of Bioagricultural Sciences, Nagoya University, has been selected to receive the 11th (FY2014) Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Prize.

This Prize aims to recognize, at an early stage, researchers with fresh ideas who have the potential to become world leaders or candidates for the Nobel Prize in their fields. In doing so, the Prize is intended to help them advance their research and achieve a breakthrough in it.

The subject of his prize-winning research project is "Studies on Plant Embryogenesis and Genome Evolution through the Action of Small RNA Pathways."
