Assistant Professor Hideki Umehata receives MEXT young scientist award for work with Subaru Telescope

Assistant Professor Hideki Umehata, of the Nagoya University Graduate School of Science, has received the Young Scientists Award as part of the 2023 Commendations for Science and Technology, awarded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). He received the award for his extensive work using data from the Subaru Telescope, including confirming the existence of previously theoretical "cosmic web" filaments.
