The Nagoya University Information Technology Center has decided to introduce a next-generation super computer system to assist simulation and artificial intelligence (AI) research. This computer is said to have one of the top performance levels in Japan.
With this computer, Nagoya University aims to vigorously promote research on the analysis of typhoon mechanisms, medical image diagnosis, genetics, the application of AI to self-driving systems, and so on. It will begin operation on July 1, 2020.
