Tokai Network for Global Leading Innovation (Tongali) receives “S” rating from Japan Science and Technology Agency

The Tokai Network for Global Leading Innovation (Tongali) received an "S" rating, the highest possible, in a report released by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) on March 26, 2025. Nagoya University is one of the founding members of Tongali, a platform that seeks to cultivate the next generation of entrepreneurs.

The JST, which provides funding to Tongali under the Program for Creating Start-Ups from Advanced Research and Technology, awards the "S" rating to organizations that have "achieved particularly outstanding results and are expected to significantly expand entrepreneurship education opportunities for high school students and others in the future."

In addition to Nagoya University, the current partner institutions in Tongali include Toyohashi University of Technology, Nagoya Institute of Technology, Gifu University, Mie University, Meijo University, Chukyo University, Fujita Health University, Nagoya City University, Gifu Pharmaceutical University, Aichi University of the Arts, Aichi Prefectural University, Shizuoka University, and Hamamatsu University School of Medicine.
