Selected for the FY2007 Global COE Program

Three projects submitted by the University were selected for the FY2007 Global COE Program.

The Global COE Program is being implemented to expand and further strengthen Japan’s graduate school education functions. This program prioritizes supporting the establishment of world-class educational programs and superior research centers in Japanese universities, and in doing so, to build a foundation for the highest-level research and to train the highest-quality creative personnel . These research centers will be developed with the aim of increasing the international competitiveness of the country’s universities.
