Two Nagoya University Professors Receive 34th Inoue Prize for Science (FY2017)

Professor Hiroshi SHINOKUBO of the Graduate School of Engineering and Professor Tetsuya HIGASHIYAMA of the Institute of Transformative Bio-Molecules have received the Inoue Foundation for Science’s 34th Inoue Prize for Science (FY2017). The award ceremony was held on February 2, 2018.

The award is given to researchers under the age of 50 who have presented remarkable findings as a result of their fundamental research in the natural sciences.

The subjects of the recipients’ award-winning research are "Exploration of Synthesis and Functions of Antiaromatic Compounds" by Prof. Shinokubo and "Plant Reproductive Systems as Revealed by Live-Cell Analyses" by Prof. Higashiyama.
