Professor Yoshikatsu Matsubayashi Selected to Receive Yomiuri Techno Forum Gold Medal Prize

Professor Yoshikatsu Matsubayashi, from the Graduate School of Science, Nagoya University, has been selected as one of the four recipients of the 25th Yomiuri Techno Forum Gold Medal Prize, according to an announcement by the Yomiuri Techno Forum. This prize is presented to young researchers who have shown outstanding achievements in science and technology.

Professor Matsubayashi’s prize-winning research concerns the "Discovery of peptide hormones involved in plant growth and development." The award ceremony will be held on April 17 (Wed), 2019, in Tokyo, and the winners’ achievements will be introduced in the Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper in April.

Other Nagoya University professors who have received this prize in the past include Professor Kenichiro Itami of the Institute of Transformative Bio-Molecules.
