Paper by Graduate School of Science Professor Noriaki Sato et al. Selected as Physics World’s Top Ten Breakthroughs of the Year

Nagoya University Graduate School of Science Professor Noriaki Sato and his research collaborators were selected for authoring one of the Top Ten Breakthroughs of the Year for their paper, "Discovery of Superconductivity in Quasicrystal," according to an announcement in Physics World magazine on December 13, 2018. Published in UK science magazine Nature Communications in January 2018, the paper is significant for its finding occurrences of superconductivity in electrons found in quasicrystals, a discovery expected to lead to the creation of new materials that display superconductivity.
