Professors Osamu Iyama and Takashi Oi Awarded JSPS Prizes

Graduate School of Mathematics Professor Osamu Iyama and Graduate School of Engineering Professor Takashi Oi were selected for the 7th (FY2010) JSPS Prize.

The JSPS Prize recognizes and flexibly supports young researchers to encourage their growth as future academic research leaders with potential to become Nobel Prize candidates.

Professor Iyama’s winning research was entitled ‘Representation Theory of Orders’, while Professor Oi was recognized for his work entitled ‘Developments of Asymmetric Syntheses with Chiral Ammonium and Chiral Tetraaminophosphonium Salts’.
