Special Lecture: How America Votes — The 2026 Midterms and What Comes Next

Time: Wednesday, June 3, 2026 14:30-16:00

Place: AC Community Forum, Asian Legal Exchange Plaza 2nd Floor

In this lecture, Dr. Ben Melusky (Fulbright Scholar at Nagoya University; Associate Professor at Old Dominion University) will explore the upcoming 2026 U.S. midterm elections and why they matter not only for the future of the Trump presidency, but also for American politics and the wider world. By placing the 2026 cycle in historical context and considering key electoral indicators, the talk will assess what the possible outcomes may mean for the final two years of Trump’s presidency, for domestic governance in the United States, and for the global community, including Japan.
