It was our pleasure to welcome H.E. Mr. Eng Chuan Ong, Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore to Japan, and his wife Mrs. Esther Ong to Nagoya University on August 7th.
Nagoya University has enjoyed a strong relationship with Singapore, including a newly established local entity in Singapore and enhanced partnerships with Singapore universities.
The Ambassador met with Nagoya University President Naoshi Sugiyama and other Nagoya University representatives. While introducing Nagoya University, President Sugiyama explained the recently expanding student exchange, research and startup program collaborations with National University of Singapore. Five G30 International Program students from Singapore joined this meeting.
During the subsequent campus tour, the ambassador was briefed by faculty members in charge of research related to mobility and material science, and eagerly asked a series of questions.
