I would like to express our deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in the recent Noto Peninsula earthquake, and extend our deepest sympathies to those affected, their families, and everyone involved.

Nagoya University will continue to work together with related ministries and other organizations to support activities in the affected areas.

I hope that everyone can return to their normal lives as soon as possible.

I ask all students, faculty and staff members for their cooperation in confirming their safety and damage to their family’s homes. The University will contact you again in case any further response is required regarding classes or work.

In addition, regarding this earthquake, please continue to act with caution based on accurate information.
